  • Elected Member of Parliament for Agona East constituency on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket in the 1992 Ghanaian parliamentary election.
  • Sworn into the First Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana on January 7, 1993.
  • Served as Deputy Minister for Information (1993-1996).
  • He retained his parliamentary seat in the 1996 election.
  • Served as Central Regional Minister (1997-1998).
  • Served as Ashanti Regional Minister (Late 1998-1999).
  • Resigned from his political position in December 1999.
